Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace Research Institute events focus on creating opportunities for new forms of encounter and dialogue. We believe that such interactions can enhance mutual understanding and respect between people and harmony in societies.

These dialogue events aim to generate new understanding and awareness that can contribute to resolving to some of the issues faced by people in the world of today.

In 2020, as the GHFP celebrates its 25 years of continued contribution to a global culture of peace, we are also hosting a number of events in the UK.

On 8th May (14.00 – 17.15): The GHFP is hosting a ‘Peace in the City‘ event as part of the Brighton Festival Fringe. The three speakers are globally renowned peace experts, Dr Scilla Elworthy, Prof. Mike Hardy and Prof. Mario Novelli, who would explore questions about peace in the city. In addition, there are three experiential workshops offering practical approaches that can help heal the divides in the British communities following Brexit. These are with Jo Berry whose father Sir Anthony Berry was killed by the IRA in the Grand Hotel Bombing in 1984Alinah Azadeh, one of the most gifted local artists and teachers in a Brighton school. More details are here.

On 1st June (18.30 – 20.00): The GHFP will host a dialogue on Climate Crisis, Resilence and Peace at the RSA House in London.
